The 1929 Society: Your Legacy is Our Future.

Be a believer.

The 1929 Society is for those who believe in the power of music. You can help ensure that the JSO is here to uplift and sustain future generations in the way only music can.

Vision

The 1929 Society is dedicated to sustaining the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra (JSO) in perpetuity.

To provide education and increase awareness regarding the importance of planned giving to ensure the long-term financial stability of the JSO.

Definition of the 1929 Society: Who we are

  • Those whose estate planning reflects a commitment anticipated to be in excess of $10,000 to the JSO.

  • Those who have endowed an orchestral chair at a minimum commitment of $10,000

  • Those who make gifts at or in excess of $10,000 to the JSO unrestricted or restricted endowments, or to the JSO Endowment established by the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies.
