Ticketing Policies and COVID-19 Updates

As of January, 2023

Masks and Social Distancing

Masks are welcome, but not longer required at any of our performance venues for the remainder of the season.

Seating will not be socially-distanced.

Self-Monitor

As we continue to follow public health and government guidelines regarding COVID-19, we ask that you self-monitor for symptoms of illness and refrain from attending if you are unwell.

Ticketing

Contact-free ticketing is available via your mobile phones; printed tickets will also continue to be available.

Ticket Refund Policy

No refund requests will be accommodated except in the event of a performance cancellation. We strive to ensure that our JSO family is satisfied with their investment in us and safe in our concert spaces. If you have questions or concerns, please be in touch!

Assumption of Risk

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you, on behalf of yourself and any accompanying minor, voluntarily assume all risks and danger incidental to attending an event offered by JSO, whether occurring before, during, or after the event, and you waive any claims for personal injury, death, illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense of any kind against the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra and its agents, sponsors, officers, directors, shareholders, owners, and employees.

The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization.  COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact.  As a result, federal, state, and local governments and federal and state health agencies recommend social distancing, the wearing of cloth face coverings, and have, in many locations, prohibited the congregation of groups of people.  JSO has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, JSO cannot guarantee that you will not become infected with COVID-19.

You acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that you, on behalf of yourself and any accompanying minor, may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 while receiving JSO Products or Services or visiting JSO’s premises and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death.  You, on behalf of yourself and any accompanying minor, understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 while on JSO’s premises may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, JSO or other persons at or near JSO’s premises.

You, on behalf of yourself and any accompanying minor, voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accepts sole responsibility for any injury to yourself and, if applicable, any accompanying minor (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that you and, if applicable, any accompanying minor may experience or incur that is in anyway related to the Products or Services provided by JSO (“Claims”).  You, on behalf of yourself and any accompanying minor hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless JSO, its officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents, representatives, sponsors, and volunteers, as well as the owners of any facilities in which the Products or Services are performed, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto.  You, on behalf of yourself and any accompanying minor, understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of JSO, its officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents, representatives, sponsors and volunteers whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation in any Product or Service provided by JSO.
