Girl Scout Cadettes Molli and Evelyn will be collecting and distributing costumes for children who want to dress up for the concert. If you have a gently used costume you’d like to donate, we will be collecting them at the JSO offices located on the 2nd floor of the Galleria Mall on March 4, from 5 to 6 p.m. We will also be distributing costumes at that time and place. Can’t make it to our collection point? Reach out to Molli’s mom Lauren Lazzari.

  • Molli Lazzari and Evelyn Moore of Girl Scout Troop 46321 are working towards their Silver Award by partnering with the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra to expand musical opportunities and awareness for children in our region. Evelyn is an 7th grader at Bishop McCort and plays violin, piano and flute she is part of the Marching Band and Musical Theater program at her school. Molli is an 8th grader at Westmont Hilltop and plays cello, piano and trombone and has been part of Marching Band, County Band, County Chorus and Inclined to Sing as well as part of her school’s Musical Theater program. Their Silver Award project is focused on improving music opportunities for children in our region. Molli and Evelyn have a strong love music and have benefited greatly from their music experiences. They want to make sure other children have opportunities to play instruments and have access to music education. Their goal is to inspire an interest for music for all ages. JSO Executive Director Jessica Satava is honored to serve as their sponsor.

See Your Artwork During the Performance!

The JSO wants your child’s art to be a part of our performance! We invite you and your children to draw your favorite scene and we will project it on our giant screen during the performance of music from the film! Choose a scene from Frozen, The Avengers, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Hamilton, or The Chronicles of Narnia. We created a worksheet to make it easy for you. Be sure to include the artist’s information so we can give them credit for their work! Gather a group of children to create drawings, take their picture with their artworks and upload it that too! Having difficulty uploading your file? Please contact Jo Novelli-Blasko at the JSO, she can help.

Need a Ride to the Concert Hall? We can get you there!

If you need transportation to the concert, we can help. Fill out the form below and someone will be in touch with information about how to get you and your children to the performance. We want you to be there!
